MY BLOG ALL ABOUT



My blog is all about " Wonderful Spot in Antique". Many tourist are come in our place to visit our beautiful nature. Boracay Island was the famous spot here in our province. Some people are visiting there to discover and see white sands beside the sea.
The reason why I want to blog this is that I want some people to come and visit in our place that is so memorable and unforgettable. I want also to share to them some places here in our province that is so amazing .
My purpose for blogging this is that I want other people to know better about our loving province which is Antique - the beautiful nature here in our province that if they can see it, they would stay ther forever..



WONDERFUL SPOT IN ANTIQUE

Antique province is located in the western part of the island and is accessible via Iloilo, Roxas and Aklan airports. The familiarization tour started in Anini-y with a short visit to the therapeutic Hot Springs of Sira-an. Then it was followed by a brief tour of the 383-year old fascinating church which was built by the early Augustinian Missionaries and has been a structure of faith among the Antiqueños. The church looks stunning in its baroque architecture and made up of coral and limestone foundations. The 115- year old bell tower had survived hundreds of calamities including the 8.2 magnitude and intensity 9 Lady Caycay Earthquake that struck Panay in 1948. 
Antique is one of the five provinces comprising Western Visayas or Region VI, and one of the four provinces in the island of PanayThe province, with a total land area of 2,729.17 square kilometres (1,053.74 sq mi),  is an elongated stretch of land occupying the entire western side of the island. It is bounded by the rugged central mountains of Panay, bordering on the provinces of Aklan in the northeast, Capiz on the east, Iloilo in the southeast and the Sulu Sea on the west. Its western-most and northernmost point is Semirara Island at 12°07′10″N 121°21′10″E, while its eastern tip is approximately 11°01′N 122°19.5′EAnini-y is the province's most southerly point at 10°24′24″N 121°57′38″E. Resembling a seahorse in shape, it is 155 kilometres (96 mi) long and 35 kilometres (22 mi) at its widest point. Antique has rugged and varied land. Nogas IslandHurao-Hurao Island and Mararison Island have long stretches of white sand beaches that are ideal for shell-hunting. Batbatan Island on the other hand, appeals to scuba divers because of the well-preserved coral reefsMount Madia-as (or Madjaas), on the border with Aklan, is the highest peak on Panay. This 2,113-metre-high (6,932 ft) mountain is a dormant volcano with lakes and 14 waterfalls. It is said to be the legendary home of Bulalakaw, the supreme god of the ancients, and beckons as a challenge for hikers and trekkers.The people of Antique are predominantly Christians, with the Philippine Independent Church or Aglipayan as its largest denomination. Even today, the Aglipayan Church remains influential in both the society and politics of the province. Other religious denominations in the province are the Roman CatholicsProtestants and Nontrinitarian such as Baptist ChurchesIglesia ni CristoSeventh-day Adventist ChurchJehovah's Witnesses, and Church of Latter Day Saints, among others.
